DOMAINE LA PRÉSIDENTE – RHONE

Our vineyard dates back to the 18th century. At that time, the Estate was the property of a very old provincial family, the members of which were the Presidents of the Provincial parliament of Aix-en-Provence.

The vineyard was sold several times and was not very well known for its wine until Max Aubert became the owner and restored it to its former glory in 1968.

Nowadays this vineyard covers an area of 145 hectares with 20 hectares of Châteauneuf du Pape, 30 hectares of Cairanne, 60 hectares of Côtes du Rhône Villages, 30 hectares of Côtes du Rhône and 5 hectares of Vin de Pays de la Méditerranée.

Our Grenache, Shiraz, Cinsault and Carignan vines are rather old (30 to 80 years)
but our winemaking method is modern : low temperature control during fermentation, and in some cases, controlled malolactic fermentation.

The wines are grown in stainless steel tanks and later aged in new oak barrels for 12 to 18 months.

Our wines exhibit flavorful aromas, silky, elegant with a beautiful mouthfeel including a great texture, framed into tannin which enable our high end cuvées to age extremely well!

Today, Céline Aubert manages this exceptional Estate and wish to share with you, our complex and refined wines that are easy to drink, due to their quality of the fruit, rigorously controlled ageing and, above all, filled with a strong passion!
