The story from Chateau Haut Vieux Chêne:
“La maison coloniale” was purchased by the ROY family in 1879. At that time, it was an owner of oak which has been replaced by vines (Ugni white varieties). The property was then called Chalet Regnier. In 1994, Bertrand ROY, fourth generation, takes over the operation. The property becomes Château Haut Vieux Chêne, the name comes from an oak remained on the property, it would been 600 years. It undertakes a reorganization
of the vineyard in order to have the majority red wine varieties.

Mechanical
Traditional, cold maceration, control of the temperatures, 3 weeks of fermentation. Ageing in stainless tanks and oak barrels.
Analysis
Alcohol : 13 % vol
Tasting Notes
Ample and fruity wine with discreet tannins. Strawberry aromas and round finish.
