La Cuna de la Poesía – ROSADO 2017

Description
Denominación de Origen Calificada (D.O.C.) Rioja
The grapes were selected from three young parcels of Garnacha vines, with an average age of 25 years. The vineyards are situated in La Rioja Alta, where the mild Atlantic climate prevails.
Mainly ferrous-clay soils with a well-balanced structure. Slightly alkaline, with poor organic content and moderate water availability.
Viticulture
100% Garnacha
Vinification
In keeping with the Cordovín style, our Rosé is made exclusively with the free-run must of our hand-picked Garnacha grapes. In this way, the skin contact is just long enough to enable the wine to take on a beautifully delicate salmon-pink / cherry-blossom hue. Temperatures are kept extra-cool during fermentation to help preserve and develop the natural aroma and flavour of the young wine. The wine is stored in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and bottled to order.
Analysis
Alc. by Vol.: 13% Total Acidity: 5.6 g/l. Total Sugars: 4.9 g/l.

Tasting Notes
This beautiful light salmon pink Rosé will seduce you from the outset with its delicate bouquet of wild strawberries. Hints of spice and flora are followed by a delicate, refined and wonderfully fresh mouth feel.
La Cuna de la Poesía is an ideal accompaniment to all al fresco dining and brings out the best in salads, light pasta dishes and barbecued monkfish. The beautifully delicate flavours, crisp
acidity and pleasant finish of a well-chilled glass also make it perfect for enjoying on its own with friends
La Cuna de la Poesía (The Cradle of Poetry) takes its name from the retreat in La Rioja Alta from which local legend, Gonzalo de Berceo, the first poet to write in the Romance language, penned his verses on the local Riojan wine of the early 12th century.
