TERROIRS & TALENTS – BOURGOGNE, MACON & BEAUJOLAIS

The genesis of this partnership is above all, a story of friendship between two men: Hervé Dupond and Xavier Barbet. Each has a long history behind the vineyard. The Dupond and Barbet families have been involved in Beaujolais since 1580 and 1711 respectively.

In 2007, they came together and formalized their partnership, in order to combine major services and mostly to offer a wider selection of Burgundy & Beaujolais wines to the Trade Worldwide!

8 years later, Grégory Barbet joined the project with the same desire, the same philosophy and the same convictions

This natural and human alchemy constitutes the Earth and Talent “DNA” which has guided the development of joining forces together, along with each of their Estates, over the years. The whole idea being to consolidate obviously some synergies and provide efficient services to their customers.

Today “Terroirs & Talents” is a Trade partnership including several family Estates between Beaujolais and Mâconnais/Burgundy Appellations, suchas as Domaine Romy (Beaujolais/Burgundy); Domaine de la Pirolette (Saint Amour- Beaujolais); Chateau de la Terrière (Beaujolais), Pierre Dupond (Macon).

Each Estate sustains its brand and its identity. Although “Terroirs & Talents” focus its efforts to market the wines from each Estate, by favoring short distribution networks, such as wine merchants, restaurants, or independent foreign distributors in export markets.

The foundation of their Philosophy is common: diligent work with vines and soils called “Terroir”, environmentally friendly vineyard management (mostly sustainable farming or an organic approach), based on climate’s evolution.

The wines are produced by plot from single vineyards, prior to be potentially blended. Handpicked harvest, the winemaking is tailor made based on the grapes component, such as acidity- sugar level, ripeness, ph, rot, etc…

Nevertheless, each Estate maintains its singular identity, which represent the signature of each “Cuvée”, defined by precision, generosity, elegancy, well bodied, fruit forward with aging potential!

By joining forces; those passionate vine growers aim with the same goal, in order to exchange their Know How and their long experience for the sake of making better wines year in, year out, which will definitely benefit to any Burgundy- Macon & Beaujolais wine lovers!
